Spring 2022
Hayun Kim is a Junior majoring in Global Affairs at George Mason University Korea Campus. It is her second semester here at the Center for Security Policy Studies as a research fellow and is working as a research assistant. Her primary interest is social inequality, which is linked to human security. She has recently become intrigued by North Korean defectors’ issues after the last CSPS-K Spring 2021 Symposium. She wishes to learn a variety of fields of security policies that can eventually lead to world peace – the ultimate goal she had ever since she was a child.
Won Jun (Jason) Lee is a sophomore at George Mason University Korea, majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Governance and minoring in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. His current research interest lies in the interconnection and potential security issues of African countries with China and the human security of North Koreans in China.
Shinhee Pyo is an undergraduate of George Mason University Korea, majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Governance and minoring in Economics. Her interest lies in Economic and Human Security as she aims to research policies to diversify the Republic of Korea’s export/import lines in the trade market, sensitive to the state of international relations.
Leah Tudor is a sophomore majoring in Global Affairs and minoring in Korean Studies at the George Mason University Korea Campus. Her primary interest is international security, specifically concerning international organizations and the policies and programs implemented to ensure global peace and stability. Through the CSPS program, she hopes to work alongside her fellow peers and advisors to better understand matters regarding international security and how to analyze international security issues of the past to best solve international security issues pertaining to the present.rs to expand his research and analysis skills while gaining experience working in a close-knit team environment in hopes to support countries around the world in assessing a variety of international security issues.
Fall 2022
Soram Hong is an undergraduate sophomore majoring in Global Affairs at George Mason University Korea campus. She pursues a concentration in Global Inequalities and Responses and has shown deep interest in social inequality that is linked to various aspects of global security issues worldwide. Through this fellowship program, she wishes to enhance her knowledge and experience in the studies of human security.
Chaeyeon Lee is a Junior majoring in Global Affairs and minoring in Data Analysis at George Mason University Korea Campus. It is her first semester at the Center for Security Policy Studies as a student fellow. Her research interests include environmental issues, sustainability, conservation, and cybersecurity. Through the program, she hopes to expand her knowledge and research skills about enhancing international security for environmental challenges and threats to cybersecurity.
Seungwoo Seo is a Sophomore majoring in Global Affairs at George Mason University Korea Campus. It is his first semester at the CSPS-K. His primary interest is supply chain management which is subject to international relations, economic security, and regional knowledge that can optimize efficient and stable supply chain management. Although he wishes to engage in the business field, he chose to major in global affairs because he considers the ability to view an international situation thoroughly as the most important. He wishes to have a fruitful and in-depth experience in this center.
