CSPS-Korea: Student Fellows 2024

Spring 2024

Minji Kim is a junior majoring in Global Affairs, with a concentration in Global Inequalities and Responses. Her research interests encompass LGBTQ rights, labor rights, and disability rights, reflecting her commitment to advocating for marginalized communities on a global scale. Through the fellowship program, she aspires to gain a comprehensive understanding of security dynamics and explore how they intersect with societal issues, aiming to contribute meaningfully to the discourse on creating inclusive and equitable systems worldwide.

Hayoung Yun is a Sophomore majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Inequalities and Responses at George Mason University Korea. Her research interest lies in the linkage of historical and cultural structures to international relations and current global issues. Through her time as a fellow, she seeks to gain expertise from discussions about international security issues, particularly human security issues. 

Hyunwoo Jo is a junior majoring Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Governance and minors in Computational & Data Sciences and Data Analysis. Having worked in several student leader positions and at the Office of Admissions & Enrollment, his current research interests lie in public policy analysis and development, especially in international governance and technology, and in higher education administration. As a Student Fellow at the Center for Security Policy Studies-Korea, his aim is to further his knowledge on the evolving usage of data analysis in the social sciences.

Yejin Kim is a sophomore student majoring in Global Affairs at  George Mason Korea campus. She has a high interest in governance systems and wants to find the best system for states by encountering various security issues. She wants to learn more about relationships between countries, especially within East Asia. Through events held in CSPS-K, she wishes to have her opinions on each security issue by engaging in discussions with fellows. 

Minji Kim is a junior majoring in Global Affairs, with a concentration in Global Governance and minoring in Marketing. Based on her previous work experience as a Public Relations director, her major research interest is in the role of public diplomacy to international relations and national security. Through the fellowship program, she hopes to expand her knowledge and research ability in both national and international security areas as well as having in-depth experience by involving in significant projects.
