I am pleased to announce that George Mason’s new International Security Master of Arts Program has been approved by the Virginia State Council for Higher Education. We are now accepting applications for this exciting new degree program, to be officially launched in Fall 2015.

The International Security Program educates individuals at all points in their careers who seek to address the security challenges of the 21st century. With a strong emphasis on public service, the curriculum examines both traditional and nontraditional security questions, ranging from the roles of military force and diplomacy, to public-private collaboration against cyber threats and counterterrorism. Our highly experienced and widely respected faculty offer a wide range of offerings, including courses focusing on ethics, transnational crime, terrorism, regional threats, proliferation, energy security, cyberwar, robotics, and emerging technologies.
