CSPS-Korea: Student Fellows 2019

Ha Eun Choi is a junior at George Mason University Korea Campus. She majors in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Economics and Management. Also she is designed to minor in International Security. She is truly interested in International conflicts and problems based on security area. She wants to work for resolving international issues in various organizations. To enlarge her academic knowledge and experience, she wants to research and learn about international security areas through the fellowship.

Jihyo Cha is a junior majoring in Global Affairs at George Mason University Korea Campus. She is deeply interested in engaging in academic environment especially learning new theories and concept on global security policies and issues in Korea. Through the fellowship, she wishes to broaden her knowledge related to her major and academic interests. Ultimately, she hopes to expand her experiences and perspectives about global security issues surrounding our society.

Jin Seong Choi is a junior majoring in Global Affairs at George Mason University Korea Campus. He is currently working as an intern at the university’s Office of Government Relations to foster the university’s partnership with the government authorities. As a student fellow of CSPS Korea, he aims to learn more about power dynamics between countries and apply the acquired knowledge to issues between North and South Korea..

Haseung Joung is a junior at the George Mason University Korea campus. She is majoring in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Governance. Her primary interests are in environmental security and Asia-pacific security. Through this program, she hopes to expand her knowledge in international security issues as well as build analytical skills and critical thinking skills.

Andrea Kwon is a junior studying B.A. Global Affairs at George Mason University Korea. She is currently serving as a Student Fellow for CSPS-Korea, and her primary interests include international security, conflict prevention, and trans-general trauma.

Heasu Lee is a junior at George Mason University Korea Campus. She is pursuing Global Affairs as a major and Conflict Analysis and Resolution as a minor. Her concentration is Global Governance and Media Communication and Culture respectively. Her primary academic interests are South Asian regional security, security-related media, refugee crises, conflict resolution, peace-building and soft diplomacy. She hopes to expand her knowledge in security issues and learn how to apply the information to current situations in the Korean Peninsula.
